The K&N Typhoon cold-air intake is a mandrel-bent aluminum tube air induction system, designed to fit select Nissan 300Z 3.5 Liter V6 models. This upgrade replaces the restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing, pulling in cooler air and reducing air flow restriction. As a result, the engine can take in more dense air, boosting usable power and acceleration. The intake includes a roto-molded plastic scoop, a carbon fiber topped air box, and a black rubber topped K&N high-flow air filter. The 3" aluminum induction tube is finished with a black powder-coat that lasts. The system fits the factory mass air sensor and crank case vent hose. The filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing, depending on conditions. Installation requires a screwdriver, pliers, ratchet set and several wrenches. Some models are CARB exempt and 50 state legal.
