Cusco RS-1.5 Way Limited Slip Differential S13/S14 240SX

Cusco LSDs offer a number of performance advantages. By reducing the load on the inner driven wheel during cornering, Cusco's limited slip differentials reduce wheel spin and maximize traction. On acceleration, stock LSDs may not be able to lock both wheels, whereas Cusco's models ensure both wheels remain firmly in place to deliver power to the ground. Cusco offers two different types of LSD.

The Type-RS leverages springs to reduce the effect of the torque application on the LSD, resulting in a smoother activation and transition. This also reduces chatter and extends the life of the LSD, in addition to lessening the oil change frequency.
1.5 Way - This LSD is designed to activate under acceleration, but it will not engage as strongly when decelerating. Its 1.5 way differential is suitable for all types of motorsport events.

With optimized performance during acceleration it carries a lighter lockup on deceleration which is best suited for traditional road racers. Despite the fact that 1.5 way units have slighter lock up on deceleration, many users may still use this cam type for aggressive motorsports such like drifting or low gear auto crossing & gymkhana.
